Fun and festive in-property activities brings people together to celebrate Lunar New Year

TORONTO, Feb. 4, 2019 /CNW/ - With Lunar New Year on the horizon, Torontonians are eagerly preparing for new beginnings and fresh starts, saying zàijiàn ('goodbye') to the Year of the Dog, and getting ready to ring in the Year of the Pig—  a zodiac that signifies wealth, fortune, health and longevity.

On February 9th, guests can join in on the celebrations at CF Fairview Mall and CF Markville while enjoying iconic lantern displays to bring family and friends together to commemorate Lunar New Year in a big and vibrant way! 

New this year, CF will be hosting ornately decorated lounges from February 4 to 21 to further mark this special holiday. In addition to serving as a place for guests to sit and relax, the lounges are also designed to provide stunning visuals for social media moments. Shoppers who purchase a CF SHOP! Card at Guest Services using Alipay or another payment method will receive a tag where they can write a New Year's wish and hang it on the Wishing Tree within the lounge. 

As part of an exclusive Cadillac Fairview and Alipay Platinum band offer, transactions made at any CF shopping centre from February 4 to 21 using Alipay will receive the Exclusive FX rate, the same rate enjoyed by Alipay Platinum members. Furthermore, guests who spend 800RMB using Alipay will only be charged 740RMB, providing shoppers with a special 8% discount.
