Cadillac Fairview celebrates 15th Annual CF Run/Walk in Support of Pediatric Cancer Care and Research
The annual CF Run/Walk aims to raise $300,000 for The Hospital for Sick Children, Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) and St. Michael's Hospital
TORONTO, April 17, 2019 /CNW/ - On Sunday April 28, Cadillac Fairview (CF) will host its 15th annual CF Run/Walk in support of The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO), and the St. Michael's Hospital. One hundred per cent of funds raised through this signature event will go towards transforming the lives of pediatric patients through advanced cancer care and research. This year, CF has increased its fundraising goal to $300,000, marking an even $100,000 donation towards each organization's life-changing work.
"CF has an unwavering commitment to empowering and inspiring youth, and our longstanding partnerships with SickKids and POGO is one way we're making a meaningful impact in young lives when they need it the most," said John Knechtel, Chair of the CF Run Committee. "This year, we're welcoming a new partner, St. Michael's Hospital, to our CF Run/Walk team. Each year we're humbled by the combined effort and support of our partners, clients, employees and their families for their contributions, because without them, we could not have accomplished our fundraising goals."
The CF 1K Kids Run/Walk and the CF 5K Run/Walk will start and finish at CF Shops at Don Mills' Town Square. Following the run, participants are invited to enjoy the CF Spring Market, a specialty pop-up shop available at the centre until May 12. This year participants will also be joined by Canadian Olympian Lanni Marchant at the CF Run/Walk.
The CF 1K Kids Run/Walk takes place on a traffic-free course and is open to youth 13 years and younger, and the CF 5K Run/Walk is open to everyone. For more information on the CF Run/Walk, visit www.cadillacfairviewrun.com or CF Shops at Don Mills' Facebook page.
