Billion-Dollar Business Developer Joins Leader of Gigabit Cities Program to Keynote WORLD FUTURE CITIES SUMMIT™

TORONTO, Sept. 10, 2015 /CNW/ - The WORLD FUTURE CITIES SUMMIT, Canada's premier event on Smart Community transformation, opened registration today and announced two pillars of the world Smart Community movement will come to Canada to be the keynote speakers at the conference held in Toronto.
Steve Adler is an expert in data science and an innovator who has developed several billion dollar revenue businesses in the areas of Data Governance, Enterprise Privacy Architectures, and Internet Insurance. He has been a leader in Information strategy and technology development at IBM for almost 20 years. He invented Internet Insurance, patented the Enterprise Privacy Architecture, founded IBM's Data Governance Council, and created the Information Governance Community. He has advised governments, large NGO's on open government data, data standards, privacy, regulation, and systemic risk. Mr. Adler was recognized as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Finance by Treasury and Risk Magazine.
William Wallace, Executive Director of US Ignite, will be the Luncheon Keynote. US Ignite is the public-private nonprofit organization inspired by President Obama and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and the National Science Foundation to build an ecosystem of smart gigabit cities leveraging software-defined infrastructure to support the Internet of Things and other smart city technologies. "We are working with cities, companies, and academic researchers nation-wide to foster development of next-generation applications that will transform how we receive healthcare, educate our children, keep our communities safe, become more energy efficient, train our employees, and manufacture goods," stated Mr. Wallace.
Registrants to The WORLD FUTURE CITIES SUMMIT can attend six other technology/research conferences at no extra cost with a combined 175 global experts. Running from October 13 - 15 and managed by the SmartCity360◦ Summit they are also located in the Convention Centre.
