MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 24, 2015 /CNW/ - The Bayer Science & Education Foundation (the Foundation) is now accepting applications for this year's scholarship programs. Ambitious students and young professionals in Canada who are looking to study and work abroad in Germany can apply for a number of scholarships in a variety of science and medical fields.
A total of 350,000 euros is available to support talented students and young professionals from both Germany and around the world. In the academic sector, students looking to study abroad in the fields of agricultural engineering, biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, medicine, pharmacy, physics, statistics/biometrics and teacher training in scientific subjects can apply.
In addition to academic scholarships, the Foundation is also offering scholarships to support young people on non-academic training programs looking to gain work experience abroad. Apprentices, trainees and young professionals who are working, or have completed their training within the last two years, in commercial, industrial, scientific and medical occupations can apply.
These scholarships underline the mission of the Foundation to work with young people and the next generation of scientists and opinion-leaders and to strengthen interest in the major challenges facing our society, such as health and agriculture.The application deadline for all scholarship programs is July 10, 2015. Application forms and further information on the individual scholarships is available online at www.bayer-foundations.com . An independent scientific committee will award funding in early September 2015.
