A First Nations' Railroad Blockade in Marysville Forces VIA Rail to Stop Trains on the Toronto-Montreal and Toronto-Ottawa routes

MONTREAL, Jan. 5, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - A First Nations' railroad blockade in the Marysville area near Kingston affects the transportation of passengers aboard VIA Rail trains between Toronto/Montreal and Toronto/Ottawa in both directions. There is no definitive timeline when the blockade will be lifted. Some delays can be expected

VIA Rail's foremost priority is to ensure that our customers reach their destinations as comfortably and safely as possible. Passengers with itineraries passing through the site of the blockade will be accommodated with bus transportation.
