50 Cyclists to Ride 960 km from Toronto to Québec City to Raise More Than $1M for Kids with Serious Illness
TORONTO, Sept. 10, 2026 /CNW/ -- On Tuesday, September 15, 50 cyclists will depart on R4//Campfire Circle, a challenging five-day, 960-kilometre journey from Toronto to Québec City to raise more than $1 million to support free, year-round camp programs for kids with cancer or serious illness and their families.
Presented by Lysander Funds, riders will travel through communities across Ontario and Québec before reaching the finish at Château Frontenac in Québec City. Family, friends, and supporters will gather to celebrate the riders and the impact they have made possible for children with cancer or serious illness and their families.
Since its inception in 2018, R4//Campfire Circle has brought together cyclists determined to ensure that even the most medically fragile children can experience camp, at no cost to their families. In 2025, the ride raised a record-breaking $1.3 million during its first Canadian route from Toronto to Québec City.

Campfire Circle is working toward a goal of serving 10,000 campers annually by 2030 by expanding its year-round hospital programs, welcoming children with a broader range of serious illnesses, and increasing capacity at its medically supported overnight camps in Muskoka and Waterford, Ontario.
The R4//Campfire Circle journey will begin with an official rider send-off at the Campfire Circle Toronto office at 464 Bathurst Street on Tuesday, September 15. Riders are scheduled to depart at 8 a.m.
