Third Jackpot Win in Three Weeks in Ontario

TORONTO, Jan. 5, 2013 /CNW/ - On the heels of two other large jackpot wins in the Toronto area, last night's (January 4, 2012) draw for the $20 million LOTTO MAX jackpot revealed there is another winning ticket in Toronto for the first jackpot win of the new year.

The most recent Toronto-area winner was Susan Flam of Thornhill, who claimed a $50 million LOTTO MAX jackpot on December 24. The Cassidy family from Vaughan claimed a $21 million jackpot prize on December 12.

Ontario residents had winning tickets for six $50 million LOTTO MAX jackpots in 2012.

The winning ticket for $50 million from the November 30, 2012 draw has still been unclaimed. That winning ticket was sold in Cambridge, Ontario.

Since its launch in September 2009, Ontario LOTTO MAX players have won over $1.5 billion in prizes, including 26 jackpot wins and 155 winning MAXMILLIONS tickets from all across the province.

For each $5 play, LOTTO MAX players receive three sets of seven numbers ranging from one to forty-nine. ENCORE is also available on LOTTO MAX for $1.

Next week's LOTTO MAX jackpot will be an estimated $10 million.
