Winning Ticket for Half of $41 Million LOTTO 6/49 Jackpot From London,
Ontario
TORONTO, March 21 /CNW/ - Ontario has one new millionaire, as half of the $41 million jackpot for yesterday evening's LOTTO 6/49 draw was won by a ticket purchased in or around the London, Ontario area. The winning ticket is eligible to receive $20,664,574.00.
"While we can't tell whether it is a single player or a group that has won at this time, we do know that the ticket was bought in the London area, so if you live in that region we suggest you check your ticket," said Sarah Kiriliuk, Media Relations Manager at Ontario Lottery and Gaming. "If you do think you hold the winning ticket, you can check the official numbers on OLG.ca or go into a retailer and use the self-scanner for ticket validation."
Ontarians who don't have a winning ticket for this draw, still have another chance to win big. The LOTTO MAX jackpot for $10 million was not won in Friday evening's draw, which means the jackpot has rolled over to a larger amount. The next draw on Friday, March 26 will be for an estimated $15,000,000.
The largest LOTTO 6/49 jackpot was for $54,294,712 won on a single ticket in October 2005.
Consumers are reminded to sign their tickets at the time of purchase, to ensure the right person gets the right prize. Signature boxes are located on the front of all printed lottery tickets.
Group players should always identify each group member with a signature on group play forms to confirm their contribution. Helpful Group Play forms are available at www.OLG.ca.
