VEGA Instruments Canada expands business development team to support key Canadian industries

TORONTO, Sept. 29, 2026 /CNW/ -- VEGA Instruments Canada has expanded its business development team as the company looks to strengthen industry relationships and provide industry-specific instrumentation expertise to manufacturers and operators across Canada.

The new business development managers will work closely with customers and industry partners to better understand their process measurement challenges and connect them with solutions that support safe, reliable and efficient operations.

With specialized knowledge in oil and gas, petrochemicals, uranium mining, fertilizers and food and beverage, the team will bring a deeper understanding of these industries to VEGA's level, point level and pressure measurement technologies. The team will also help strengthen VEGA's connections across key Canadian industries.

Jim Reid, Business Development Manager – Oil and Gas and Petrochemicals

Jim Reid is based in Edmonton, Alta., and brings more than 30 years of experience in instrumentation, including more than 15 years supporting the oil and gas and petrochemical industries. He holds a degree in instrumentation technology from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Vivek Verma, Business Development Manager – Uranium Mining and Fertilizers

Vivek Verma is based in Saskatoon, Sask., and brings more than 12 years of experience in instrumentation, along with more than 10 years of engineering experience supporting customers in the mining and fertilizer industries. He holds a bachelor's degree in electronics and instrumentation and is currently pursuing his P.Eng. designation in Saskatchewan.

Ivelisse Garcia, Business Development Manager – Food and Beverage

Ivelisse Garcia is based in Toronto, Ont., and brings more than 10 years of experience in instrumentation. She holds a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering, a diploma in instrumentation technology and a mini-MBA focusing on customer experience. She will apply her technical expertise and customer-focused approach to support the food and beverage industry with its process measurement needs.
