Vancouver's shared e-bikes get a new look, more support

(Mobi by Rogers) is proud to announce that Simplii Financial will become its Exclusive E-bike Partner, strengthening the role and visibility of shared e-bikes in Vancouver's sustainable transportation network.

Since launching Vancouver's public bike share in 2016 with just 250 bikes at 24 stations, the system has steadily grown into an essential part of the city's transportation network. By 2018, the system had expanded to 2,000 bikes at 200 stations and introduced its Equity Program to reduce barriers to cycling. In 2022, Vancouver Bike Share launched 500 e-bikes and extended service to UBC with 10 on-campus charging stations. Today, with over a million trips taken, e-bikes are transforming how Vancouver moves and the new partnership with Simplii Financial marks the next step in that journey.

Existing Simplii Cash Back Visa clients will soon have access to free e-bike minutes, while new Simplii Visa clients get access to an exclusive free monthly pass including unlimited 15-minute E-bike rides and 30-minute classic bike rides.*
