Toronto Hydro: Downtown Power Outage Update #2
TORONTO, Jan. 16, 2012 /CNW/ - Although power was restored to the majority of customers in the area bounded by North - Queen Street E; East - Sumach/Cherry; South - Front Street East and West - Sherbourne Street as a result of the vault fire in downtown Toronto earlier this afternoon, Toronto Hydro-Electric System ("Toronto Hydro") now reports that power will have to be temporarily interrupted to some buildings. These include: 109 Front Street, 151 King Street East and 165 Front Street East. This interruption is required for the safety of our crews to conduct work. Power to these buildings is expected to be restored at approximately 10:00 p.m. Power restoration to customers at 33 Princess Street will be delayed until approximately 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
