Tim Novak joins Avison Young's Toronto brokerage operations

TORONTO, Sept. 21 /CNW/ - Mark Fieder, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's Ontario region, announced today that Tim Novak - one of Toronto's top commercial real estate brokers - has joined Avison Young's brokerage operations in Toronto.

Effective immediately, Novak joins Avison Young as a Senior Advisor in the Toronto Leasing and Sales groups. He will be based in Avison Young's Downtown Toronto office at 150 York Street.

"Tim is a highly respected industry veteran and his hiring will give our company added strength in both the Downtown and fringe markets," comments Fieder. Novak brings to Avison Young 22 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, with a focus on office and retail leasing as well as building and land sales in the Downtown West and Downtown East markets.

Committed to uncovering new and interesting spaces with fringe appeal, Novak has been actively working in the Downtown West and East markets since starting in the industry in the late 1980s with Locations Real Estate and, more recently, Cushman & Wakefield Ltd.

Although he started out primarily specializing in the Spadina Avenue and King Street West area in the garment trade/industrial market, Novak's focus evolved as the area shifted to the creative office node that it is today. Utilizing his broad range of contacts and relationships, Novak helped pioneer new real estate options in areas such as Leslieville and, more recently, Dupont Street/Wallace Avenue, Lansdowne Avenue/Bloor Street West, and Dundas Street West.
