The new Strathmore Co-op officially opens
Members enjoy new offerings and an expanded selection
CALGARY, July 17, 2015 /CNW/ - Calgary Co-operative Association Limited ("Calgary Co-op") celebrated the Grand Opening of its new Strathmore Co-op food centre and Co-op Wine Spirits Beer location today.
Members of the community were eager to visit the new site at 100 Edgefield Place, and explore the new offerings available.
"The new Strathmore Co-op food centre features a fresh bakery case, cheese island and an expanded selection of fresh meat and seafood," says Ken Keelor, CEO. "We look forward to providing our Strathmore members with the best in fresh, quality products, and caring service, while providing value for their dollar."
In celebration of the Grand Opening at the food centre, the first 300 members through the door each received a $10 gift card, and samples and demonstrations will continue throughout the day.
The new Strathmore Co-op Wine Spirits Beer location opened at 10 am and replaces the previous store located on 2nd Avenue.
"Strathmore Co-op Wine Spirits Beer is double the size of our previous location," continues Keelor. "We believe our members will enjoy the larger selection, our new beer cooler with a 36 foot Beers of the World Wall, and a more efficient till system to provide even greater service."
The Strathmore Co-op food centre is open from 8 am – 10 pm daily and Strathmore Co-op Wine Spirits Beer is open 10 am – 10 pm daily.
Construction continues at the gas bar at this site which is tentatively scheduled to open at the end of the year. Once open, Calgary Co-op will offer two gas bar locations in the community of Strathmore.
