Starbucks Proudly Opens its 100th Café in Quebec

100th Starbucks® cafe is first Starbucks Reserve® coffee store in Quebec, featuring the Clover® Brewing System

MONTREAL, Dec. 4, 2013 /CNW/ - Starbucks Coffee Canada today celebrates an exciting milestone with the official grand opening of its 100^th store in Quebec. The new Starbucks® Café, which has opened at St. Catherine Street and Greene Avenue in Montreal is also the first Starbucks Reserve® coffee store in the province, featuring the Clover® Brewing System - a one-of-a-kind brewing method that highlights each coffee's rich and distinctive flavors, brewed one perfect cup at a time.

First-ever Starbucks Reserve® Coffee store and Clover® Brewing System in Quebec

One of only 28 Starbucks Reserve® coffee stores in Canada, the first Starbucks Reserve® coffee store in Quebec offers rare and exotic Starbucks Reserve® coffees, brewed on the exclusive Clover® Brewing System.  The Clover® brewer uses a patented Vacuum-Press™ technology, which allows Starbucks baristas to control extraction for each coffee, resulting in an amazing cup of coffee.   Since the Clover® brewer brings out subtle nuances and exquisite flavours, it is the perfect method to brew Starbucks Reserve® coffees.     Starbucks Reserve® coffees are some of the most exquisite and finest small-lot coffees from around the world, sourced by Starbucks global coffee team.   This month while supplies last, Starbucks customers can experience two very special coffees in Starbucks Reserve® coffee stores:

Elevated design inspiration
Starbucks national designers and local design team in Montreal created a truly unique space for the 100^th store, which reflects the heritage of the landmark Westmount Square neighbourhood in a contemporary way.  Inspired by the traditional coffee house, this concept café was built as a coffeehouse within a house and, as with all new Starbucks® stores in Canada since 2010, the store was designed to LEED® specifications and incorporates local recycled and reclaimed materials, including the rustic wood on the walls, ceiling and bar.

Grand Opening celebration to benefit Innovation Youth (Innovation Jeunes)
To mark the official grand opening of the 100^th Starbucks® café in Quebec, the store will be hosting a Friends and Family event on Wednesday, December 4^th, 2013 Customers and neighbours are invited to sample food and beverages, including Starbucks® espresso beverages and new Starbucks Reserve® coffees on the Clover® brewer and can make a voluntary donation which Starbucks will pass on to  Innovation Youth (innovationjeunes.ca)- a not-for-profit organization that offers academic and social support to adolescents between the ages of 12 and 24, in downtown Montreal.
