Seven days of advance polls to begin for the Niagara West-- Glanbrook and Ottawa--Vanier provincial by-elections

TORONTO, Nov. 2, 2016 /CNW/ - Advance polls for the Niagara West—Glanbrook and Ottawa—Vanier provincial by-elections begin on Saturday November 5, 2016 and are available through Friday November 11, 2016. Advance polls will be open from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. (Eastern Time).

Advance poll locations, dates and times are printed on the Notice of Registration Cards sent to registered voters. A complete list of advance poll locations is available at

Special ballot voting continues at the Niagara West—Glanbrook and Ottawa—Vanier returning offices until 6:00 P.M. (Eastern Time) on Wednesday November 16, 2016.

Election Day is Thursday November 17, 2016. Polls will be open from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. (Eastern Time).

Canadian citizens who reside in the electoral districts of Niagara West—Glanbrook or Ottawa—Vanier, and are at least 18 years of age or older on Election Day, are eligible to vote. Eligible voters are reminded to bring their Notice of Registration Card and proof of identity or one piece of identification that includes both their name and residential address with them to vote.
