Reminder: nominate your story for RNAO's Media Awards
TORONTO, Jan. 9, 2017 /CNW/ - There is still time for journalists to submit outstanding nursing and health-care stories for consideration for the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario's (RNAO) annual Media Awards.
The awards honour reporters, editors and producers that keep the public informed and contribute to public dialogue on important health-care issues. Awards are handed out in a variety of categories, as judged by a volunteer panel of nurses and fellow journalists.
Entries must have been published or broadcast in Ontario during the 2016 calendar year. Winners will be announced in the spring, and awards will be handed out at the President's Banquet of RNAO's annual general meeting in April 2017.
Nominations for the Media Awards must be received via the online submission form no later than Friday, Jan. 20, 2017. This year's categories are:

- Best series
Community newspaper
- Best news story

- Best story
