The new location will feature 35 of Lagree's newest EVO PRO machines in its main studio, along with two additional EVO PRO machines in a dedicated private training and education space. The studio will also offer six wellness and recovery treatment rooms, bringing together high-intensity, low-impact fitness and advanced recovery in an elevated, hospitality-driven environment.
The expansion follows the success of REFORMD's flagship Toronto location, launched in June 2025 by Sweat and Tonic (S&T), Canada's leading group fitness and wellness hub. Featuring 31 MegaPro Megaformers, the Toronto location has welcomed more than 126,000 guest bookings since opening. Sweat and Tonic has recorded more than 3.4 million guest bookings across its fitness and wellness experiences since opening in 2019.
REFORMD Calabasas marks the brand's first expansion into the United States through a partnership between David Ingram, Founder of Sweat and Tonic and REFORMD, and Heather Perren, a Lagree Senior Master Trainer, Director of Events at Lagree HQ, and an internationally recognized Lagree educator.
The new location will be principally owned and operated by Perren, bringing together her expertise in Lagree education, community building, and fitness experiences with Ingram's success in developing and scaling premium fitness and wellness destinations.
A New Standard for Lagree, Wellness, and Recovery
"We're creating something that goes far beyond a traditional fitness studio," says Heather Perren, Co-Founder of REFORMD Calabasas. "Our vision is to bring together world-class Lagree training, innovative wellness and recovery, and an elevated experience that makes people genuinely excited to walk through our doors. We want our guests to challenge themselves, recover with intention, and feel connected to a community that supports their long-term well-being. Having grown up in this community, bringing a concept of this scale to Calabasas is especially meaningful to me. I'm incredibly proud to create something truly special in a place I call home."
Located at The Commons at Calabasas, the upscale open-air shopping destination developed by Caruso, REFORMD will introduce a new boutique fitness and wellness destination to one of Southern California's most recognized lifestyle destinations.
The main studio will feature its signature instructor stage, state-of-the-art AV, custom-programmed spotlighting, and chromotherapy-inspired lighting designed to create an energizing and immersive Lagree experience.
Beyond the studio floor, the location will offer a comprehensive luxury wellness and recovery experience, available to everyone, whether or not they participate in Lagree classes.
The space will feature six dedicated treatment rooms offering advanced wellness services, including:
- Massage therapy
- Zerobody dry float experiences
- Electric cryotherapy
- The Ammortal Chamber
- Compression therapy using Metrum Boa Max suits
- A dedicated recovery lounge featuring Therabody tools, lymphatic massage roller, yoga mats, and foam rollers
As a standalone wellness destination and a complement to Lagree training, REFORMD's recovery offerings have been designed to provide the community with a space to recharge, restore, and prioritize their overall well-being, all within one elevated luxury environment.
From Toronto to California: REFORMD's International Expansion
"Our mission at Sweat and Tonic has always been to elevate the fitness and wellness experience," says David Ingram, Founder of Sweat and Tonic and REFORMD. "We pushed the boundaries of what a Lagree studio could be with our flagship location in Toronto, creating one of the largest and busiest studios in the world. Expanding into California with Heather represents an exciting next chapter for the brand. We're building on the success of Toronto while introducing an even more comprehensive fitness and wellness experience to a new community."
The Calabasas opening represents a significant milestone in REFORMD's international growth, bringing its distinctive combination of large-scale group training, premium hospitality, and wellness innovation to the U.S. market.
Bringing the Future of Lagree to Life
"REFORMD represents exactly where I see the future of Lagree heading," says Sebastien Lagree, Founder and Creator of the Lagree Method. "I've always envisioned Lagree studios evolving into larger, more immersive destinations that combine world-class training, innovation, wellness, and community. REFORMD brought that vision to life in Toronto, and now Heather and the team are taking it even further in Calabasas. With 37 of our newest EVO PRO machines and a fully integrated wellness experience, this studio represents an exciting evolution of the Lagree Method. I'm thrilled to see this vision become a reality."
