Radiologists from Across the Country Convene for Canada's Premier Radiology Event

MONTREAL, April 1, 2025 /CNW/ - From April 4 to 6 days, radiologists from across Canada will congregate in Montreal to showcase advancements in medical imaging. With a strong focus on artificial intelligence and innovative practices for improved patient care, the 2025 Canadian Association of Radiologists' Annual Scientific Meeting (CAR 2025) will help to establish a blueprint for the future of radiology in Canada and abroad.

CAR 2025 will welcome renowned speakers from around the world to share their expertise and talk about key issues impacting radiology as it pertains to patient care in Canada. Featured keynotes will include:

• Dr. Bharti Khurana, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA - Imaging of Intimate Partner Violence,
• Dr. Àlex Rovira, University Hospital Vall d'Hebron, Barcelona, Spain - Update on Typical and Emerging Imaging Findings in Multiple Sclerosis.
• Dr. Andrea Rockall, Imperial College London, London, UK -  Imaging with Impact in Suspected Ovarian Cancer,
• Dr. Efrén Flores, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA - Decoding Health Equity in Radiology,
• Dr. Perry Pickhardt, ACR Institute for Radiologic Pathology - Colorectal Cancer: A Radiologist's Perspective,

The CAR is hosting a Radiology Business Directors Meeting in conjunction with our conference. This meeting, taking place on Thursday, April 3rd will bring together radiology departments senior administrators to discuss challenges in medical imaging across the country. Some of the key topics will include the HHR crisis, regulation of artificial intelligence in healthcare and the gap in investment in radiology. This session will welcome representatives from government, senior officials from national health societies and industry.

The theme for the conference is Working Together: Radiology at the Heart of Care. Highlights will include a panel discussion on current trends in artificial intelligence in radiology for 2025 and beyond, a focus on the importance of cancer screening and ground-breaking theranostics treatment, innovation radiology clinical practices and mistakes we all make.
