Le Piano public Québecor back for second edition
MONTRÉAL, Aug. 15, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Quebecor is pleased to be the presenting partner of La Fête de la Musique de Tremblant for the 9th consecutive year. From September 1 to 4, the music fest mounted by Angèle Dubeau will serve up a rich and varied mix of musical styles running the gamut from classical to jazz and world music. Festival-goers will also be able to relax and enjoy at the Le Piano public Québecor, a lively, hands-on family area at the foot of the mountain.
"Quebecor has a deep and abiding commitment to promoting our talented and diverse musical artists," said Pierre Karl Péladeau, President and CEO of Quebecor. "So we are proud to support La Fête de la Musique de Tremblant year after year and to help make it a captivating experience for all audiences. This event is a marvelous showcase for artists working in all genres and a springboard for young musicians. I encourage everyone to come and make some exciting musical discoveries!"
Quebecor provides financial support and is also making a distinctive contribution to the festival site.
Le Piano public Québecor: Better than ever!
To follow up on its success of 2016, Le Piano public Québecor has been enhanced for 2017. Festival-goers will be able to relax in the free lounge, compliments of Quebecor, and young and old will be able to play their favourite pieces. Le Piano public Québecor will also be the venue for shows by well-known pianist-composer François Dompierre, accompanied by singer Carole Aveline.
It was at the first edition of Le Piano public Québecor that François Dompierre was struck by Carole Aveline's incredible talent. The instant professional attraction led to this year's collaboration, in which the two artists will share their love of music with spectators while explaining the creative process.
Le Piano public Québecor will be located at La croisée des chemins, close to the Le Cabriolet lift.
Performances by François Dompierre and Carole Aveline:
- Saturday, September 2, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sunday, September 3, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
