WINNIPEG, June 21, 2017 /CNW/ - The CF-18 Demonstration Team's Canada 150 painted jet will conduct a flyby over the Percival Molson Memorial Stadium at the start of the Montreal Alouettes' game held in the stadium on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at approximately 7:30 p.m.

The Canada 150 jet will fly over the stadium at an altitude no lower than 500 feet above the highest point of their route, before resuming a higher flying altitude for the return trip to 3 Wing Bagotville, Que.

Flybys on Canadian Armed Forces aircraft are conducted in support of special events and are carefully planned and closely controlled to ensure public safety at all times.

This specially-painted CF-18 Hornet Fighter jet features the official logo for "Canada 150" placed throughout the design and was painted to commemorate Canada's 150th anniversary of Confederation. Representing the Royal Canadian Air Force, the CF-18 Demonstration team reflects the professionalism of Canada's airmen and airwomen from the pilot to the maintenance crews to the coordinators.
