Packers Plus Partners with Calgary Flames to Support Military Families
CALGARY, Nov. 10, 2014 /CNW/ - Packers Plus Energy Services Inc., the innovator of open hole multi-stage completion systems, has partnered with Calgary Flames forward, Joe Colborne, for the Colborne's Forces initiative, supporting the Calgary Military Family Resource Centre (CMFRC).
Dan Themig, Packers Plus President & CEO, says, "We are incredibly proud to be partnering with Joe Colborne and the Calgary Flames for Colborne's Forces. The commitment of our men and women in uniform, and their families, is invaluable." Through Colborne's Forces, Joe Colborne has donated home game tickets to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) for the entire hockey season. At select home games, CAF members and their families will be recognized with a salute from fans and from Packers Plus. They will also meet Joe after the game. In addition, with every point recorded by Joe throughout the season, Packers Plus will donate $500 to the CMFRC.
"I have always had a deep respect for the work that the Canadian Armed Forces do to protect our country and I am humbled to be able to give back to them through this program, Colborne's Forces. They sacrifice so much for our freedom and I can't thank them enough for their honour and commitment to our country." - Calgary Flames forward, Joe Colborne
"We at the CMFRC are thrilled to be part of this program. We are very grateful for the support that Packers Plus Energy Services Inc. and the Calgary Flames are providing to our military families. We wish Joe Colborne and the Calgary Flames a tremendously successful season." - Nick Twyman, Board Chair of the CMFRC
The CMFRC is a non-profit organization run by a volunteer Board of Directors and supports families of CAF members within Calgary and Southern Alberta. Their programs include support and intervention services, family events, family separation and reunification support, counselling, crisis intervention, youth programs and more.
