11 More Big MAXMILLIONS Tickets Sold in Ontario
TORONTO, Aug. 14 /CNW/ - Friday the 13th turned out to be a very lucky day for LOTTO MAX players in Ontario. The $50 million LOTTO MAX jackpot from last night's draw was split in half, with one winning ticket worth $25 million sold in Ontario and the other sold in Quebec. That $25 million ticket is waiting to be claimed in the Ottawa area.
In addition to the jackpot prize, there are also 11 winning MAXMILLIONS tickets sold in Ontario:
- 5 tickets worth $1 million each - sold in Toronto, Milton and in the Barrie region - 3 tickets worth $500,000 each - sold in Richmond Hill and Toronto - 3 tickets worth $333,333.40 each - sold in Napanee, Cambridge and Barrie
Plus there were thousands more secondary prizes won across the province. Make sure to check your tickets at www.OLG.ca, at an OLG self-ticket checker in stores, or with your nearest retailer to see if you are a lucky winner.
"We are extremely excited that there is a LOTTO MAX ticket worth $25 million in the Ottawa area. And the news just gets better knowing that there were 11 MAXMILLIONS prizes won in Ontario," said Wendy Montgomery, OLG's Vice-President, Lottery Marketing. "We can't wait to meet all the lucky winners. It is incredible how fast the list of Ontario millionaires keeps growing with LOTTO MAX and MAXMILLIONS."
MAXMILLIONS are additional $1 million draws added to the game when the LOTTO MAX jackpot reaches $50 million. MAXMILLIONS prizes are drawn separately from the LOTTO MAX jackpot draw, which means that a LOTTO MAX ticket not only gives players a chance at the jackpot but also the chance to win any of the $1 million MAXMILLIONS draws on the same date.
Of the 40 MAXMILLIONS prizes drawn last night, a total of 14 were won across Canada. The unwon MAXMILLIONS prizes will be rolled into next week's LOTTO MAX draw which means the jackpot will be an estimated $36 million.
Winning happens, all the time.
