Old Dutch Foods offers over $1.3 million in hockey shoot-out

Old Dutch Foods contest winners could Net a Million at the 2012 MasterCard Memorial Cup

TORONTO, Feb. 28, 2012 /CNW/ - Old Dutch^® Potato Chips, Sportsnet and the Canadian Hockey League are bringing back Net a Million at the 2012 MasterCard Memorial Cup. Potato chip lovers across Canada enter the product UPC from any package of Old Dutch Potato Chips (200g to 300g) at olddutchfoods.ca. Participants enter for a chance to win one of three trips for two to Shawinigan, Quebec, for the 2012 MasterCard Memorial Cup - and the opportunity to net $100,000, $250,000 or $1 million!

The three winners will represent their home league: the WHL, the OHL, and the QMJHL. The three consumers winning trips to Shawinigan will take part in on-ice shootouts, featured live on Sportsnet. The $100,000 and $250,000 contestants will shoot for their cash prizes at the Semi-Final game on Fri. May 25, and the lucky Net a Million shooter will be featured at the Final game on Sun. May 27.

The first contestant will play for $100,000, shooting from the closest blue line, trying to score 16 goals out of 20 pucks in 20 seconds. The second contestant will play for $250,000, shooting from centre ice, trying to score 16 goals out of 20 pucks in 22 seconds. The third contestant will play for $1,000,000, shooting from the furthest blue line, trying to score 16 goals out of 20 pucks in 24 seconds.

And to make sure all contestants are winners, Old Dutch will pay $500 for each goal scored short of the 16 required for the big money.
