National Conference on Ending Homelessness at the Palais des congrès de Montréal: Three days of mobilization to strengthen collective action

MONTRÉAL, Oct. 27, 2025 /CNW/ - From October 28 to 30, the Palais des congrès de Montréal is donating its space to host the National Conference on Ending Homelessness (CAEH25), a major gathering to bring an end to homelessness in Canada.

CAEH25 will bring together communities, organizations, frontline workers, leaders and people who have experienced homelessness. Together, they'll join their voices and strengths to learn, share their experiences and devise concrete strategies to end homelessness in Canada. 

A social integration into the heart of the city center

By hosting the event and donating its spaces, the Palais des congrès de Montréal is strengthening its vocation as a gathering place and reaffirming its commitment to finding solutions. Located in the city centre, a sector where residents, workers, visitors and people in vulnerable situations interact every day, the Palais acts daily to improve cohabitation and social dialogue.

Whether it's through its involvement with the SPVM, the Société de développement social's mediation program, the urban safety committee, which brings together major downtown players, or the business committee of the Mouvement pour mettre fin à l'itinérance à Montréal (MMFIM – Movement to End Homelessness in Montréal)--with which it's working locally to host CAEH25--these actions reflect the Palais' deep connection to Montréal's social fabric, and its sincere desire to contribute to its stability.

A tangible legacy for Montréal

For CAEH25, the Palais also partnered with Tourisme Montréal and Meet4Impact to assess the societal benefits of the conference. This approach aims to measure the tangible impacts of the event on public policies, community practices and awareness-raising among the general public around key themes:

• social housing and rapid access to shelter
• homelessness prevention
• collaboration among community, institutional and private organizations
• recognition of the expertise of people who've experienced homelessness.

All critical discussions with the aim of finding durable solutions, strengthening mutual aid networks and feeding the common goal of achieving a country where everyone has a roof over their head and lives with dignity.
