MONTREAL, Aug. 29, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - L'Oréal Canada's new General Management announces the appointment of Ms. Nadia Petrolito as Chief Communications Officer (CCO).
Ms. Petrolito joined L'Oréal Canada in July 2006 as a Legal Counsel and was, soon after, appointed General Counsel, a position she maintains today in addition to her new role as CCO. Furthermore, since 2009, Ms. Petrolito is the Ethics Officer for L'Oréal Canada. This is an essential role in which she ensures the company's full compliance with ethical principles and values.
An important mandate of her new role as CCO, will be the development of the new Corporate Social Responsibilities Program (CSR), which is a key priority for L'Oréal Canada along with its already existing engagements in terms of Diversity and Ethic.
The L'Oréal Group, on a worldwide level, has recently launched a program called "Sharing Beauty With All", confirming its sustainability commitment for 2020. These commitments are the result of 2 years of exchange with various stakeholders throughout the world. L'Oréal is thus committed to improve its practices throughout its value chain, from research to production, while sharing its growth with the communities that surround it. Ms. Petrolito's mandate includes the implementation of "Sharing Beauty With All" on a local level within the Canadian CSR program.

Ms. Petrolito has an Honors Degree in Sociology of the University of Western Ontario and a Licence in Civil Law of the University of Ottawa. She was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1997. Prior to joining L'Oréal Canada, she worked in litigation for a boutique law firm and then as a corporate commercial lawyer in a well-known mid-sized firm in Montreal. She continued her career as In House Legal Counsel for an important cosmetic company before starting at L'Oréal Canada.
