VANCOUVER , Feb. 1 /CNW/ - Mineral Hill Industries Ltd. (the "Company" or "MHI") wishes to announce the creation of a new management structure designed to expand upon its core strengths. Effective February 1 , the following new management team will lead the Company:

    
    1.  Mr. Hugh Maddin has been appointed as an independent Chairman. Since
        joining the Board of Directors in January 2005, Mr. Maddin has been
        on the Audit Committee and the Corporate Governance and Human
        Resources Committee and has chaired the committees at various periods
        of his tenure. A lawyer by profession, Mr. Maddin is the founder and
        president of Quadra Aggregates Inc., Chairman of TA Mineral Resources
        Ltd., Director of Chelsea Minerals Corp., and a Director of Nass
        Valley Gateway Ltd.

    2.  Mr. John Punzo, a director of the Company since August 2009, has been
        appointed President. He will be responsible for all equity finance,
        investor and public relations and will assist the CEO in overseeing
        the exploration projects, acquisitions of mineral properties and
        funding of MHI's exploration programs. Mr. Punzo has over twenty five
        years of corporate leadership experience in the energy and finance
        sectors. He is a successful entrepreneur and businessman and has
        played a key role in raising significant capital for ventures in
        these sectors including publicly trading small cap companies. His
        experience includes owning and operating companies as well as
        providing merger and acquisition and turn-around advisory services to
        start-up businesses.

    3.  Mr. Dieter Peter who has been leading the Company since March 2005 as
        the Chairman, President and CEO, will relinquish the position of
        Chairman and President but will continue as the CEO of the Company.
        He will lead the Company in the Company's operations and
        acquisitions. Mr. Peter was the founder, Chairman & CEO of several
        mining exploration companies between 1982 and 1986. He was also
        Chairman & CEO of Canada's first airlaid manufacturing plant in
        Delta, British Columbia between 1987 and 1992. Through his leadership
        as Chairman, President & CEO of another airlaid manufacturing plant
        between 1992 and 2003, the most modern and efficient airlaid
        facilities in Quebec and Germany were developed and financed, and
        more than 650 jobs were created. Mr. Peter is also engaged as
        Chairman and CEO of Nass Valley Gateway Ltd since its inception in
        2005.
    

This is a pivotal year for MHI, and this new structure will enable the Company to provide a more cohesive focus for operating its businesses in a proactive and strategic manner. The Company is entering into a new phase with its newly acquired lithium properties in Quebec , exploring precious metal projects and developing enterprises into sustainable and environmentally responsible businesses as well as continuing the development of its unique partnership with First Nations.
