LOUISVILLE, Ky., Nov. 10, 2015 /CNW/ -- Michter's Distillery strives to offer spirits in a way that enables whiskey drinkers around the world to enjoy our product. However, given the demand, our US*1 line of whiskeys has needed to be allocated. In the case of Michter's US*1 Sour Mash Whiskey, we have run out of stock for the remainder of 2015. No further cases will be shipped from the distillery to U.S. or international distributors until next year. While we know this may disappoint our loyal customers, please know that it is only temporary. We plan to have US*1 Sour Mash in supply for 2016.
US*1 Sour Mash Whiskey is made according to the traditional sour mash process where some previously fermented mash is used as the starter for the new mash fermentation. This product is bottled at 86 proof, the same strength as the popular 1970's Michter's Sour Mash.
