Michael Lindsay joins Avison Young's brokerage operations in Toronto, Ontario

TORONTO, Jan. 13, 2012 /CNW/ - Mark Fieder, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the Ontario region, announced today that leading office leasing broker Michael Lindsay has joined Avison Young's brokerage operations in Toronto.

Effective immediately, Lindsay joins Avison Young as an office leasing broker and a Vice-President, focusing on tenant representation in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). While based in the Toronto central office, he will service the downtown and suburban markets.

"Michael brings to Avison Young a wealth of experience, a strong work ethic, and a long history of providing a high standard of client service, which will fit well within the Avison Young culture," comments Fieder. Lindsay has been active within the commercial real estate industry for 20 years, most recently as a broker with Cushman & Wakefield in Toronto where he was the recipient of the company's Award of Excellence (the highest award for sales at the company). He was also consistently a top 10 office leasing broker for the Toronto suburban market, having negotiated sale, lease and sublease transactions of office properties totalling in the millions of square feet.

Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, Lindsay was the sole owner of Dynapro Commercial Realty, a Toronto-based real estate brokerage with a team of 10 specializing in office tenant representation.

Clients served by Lindsay include Warner Music Canada, Signal Hill Capital Partners, Hugessen Consulting, Searchlight Capital Partners, CBV Collection Services, Ironbridge Capital Partners, The Brick and Allied Craft Union of Canada, Stornoway Communications, Academy of Learning, Omnicom Language Services and Diversinet.
