TORONTO, Sept. 14, 2015 /CNW/ - On Saturday, September 12, Tim A. Reuss, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada, and several company executives, joined Calgary City Councillor Jim Stevenson, Jim McManes, President, Mike McManes, General Manager and Rick Bowie, Vice President of Real Estate of McManes Automotive to break ground at the site of the future landmark dealership in Northeast Calgary.
A 7.8 acre site on Stonehill Drive NE conveniently located in the heart of a recently expanded area of Calgary will soon become the future home of Mercedes-Benz Country Hills.
Scheduled to be fully operational early in 2017, the 94,500 square feet dealership will incorporate spacious new and pre-owned vehicle showrooms. Approximately 50,000 square feet have been earmarked for the service area, and will include 30 state-of-the-art work bays. In addition, the dealership was carefully and purposefully designed to take into account the extreme climatic conditions found in Calgary. To further enhance the in-store customer experience, the new dealership will also offer amenities such as a full service deli style restaurant and a hair and nail salon.
The overall layout of the entire facility will follow the Auto Haus facility design standard, which features extensive use of glass to promote transparency throughout the building. This exterior façade will also feature the new and very attractive Mercedes-Benz retail corporate identity where prominent black components are stylishly coupled with accents of bright silver, reminiscent of the three-pointed star.
