MONTRÉAL, Nov. 12, 2025 /CNW/ - Media representatives are invited to attend the official commissioning ceremony for the Deux-Montagnes branch of the REM.

This event will mark the beginning of celebrations surrounding the commercial launch of this new REM segment, which will now connect downtown Montreal to Deux-Montagnes. Dignitaries, project partners, and representatives from CDPQ Infra will be present to highlight this important milestone.
Program:
- Media welcome at Deux-Montagnes station starting at 9:15 a.m.
- Arrival of dignitaries at Deux-Montagnes station at 10:00 a.m. (photo opportunity open to all media)
- Official speeches at 10:30 a.m. under the outdoor marquee
- Photo session and individual interviews around 11:30 a.m.
- Photo opportunity aboard the REM between Deux-Montagnes and Pierrefonds-Roxboro stations (limited time between 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.)

- Dignitaries' journey aboard the REM from 9:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (pool images)
- Media will be invited to participate in the commissioning celebrations during a subsequent visit to the Mount Royal tunnel and Édouard-Montpetit station. Invitations will be sent shortly.
