MONTREAL, Sept. 22, 2026 /CNW/ -- The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) will officially launch the 2026 peak cruise season on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the Grand Quay of the Port of Montréal, located at 200 de la Commune Street West. The occasion will be marked by the arrival of the SCENIC ECLIPSE, operated by Scenic, making its first-ever call in Montreal. Participating in the event will be Philippe Bertout, Director, Grand Quay and Cruises at the Port of Montreal, and Sarah Justine Leduc-Villeneuve, Interim Vice-President, Destination Development, Public and Government Affairs at Tourisme Montréal.
Members of the media are invited to attend brief remarks by the speakers, followed by a tour of the vessel. During the visit, a commemorative artwork will be presented to the captain to mark the ship's inaugural call in Montréal.

**TOUR OF THE VESSEL**
A passport is required to participate in the tour of the vessel. Attendance must also be confirmed by 2: 00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23.
Parking will be available at the Grand Quay. Media representatives interested in touring the vessel or conducting interviews with the event speakers are invited to indicate their interest when confirming their attendance.
