Media Alert - Heart and Stroke Foundation 2010 Report on Canadians' Health

On Monday, January 25, 2010 the Heart and Stroke Foundation will unveil its annual Report on Canadians' Health.

TORONTO , Jan. 21 /CNW/ - In this year's Report, the Foundation reveals how a 'perfect storm' of risk factors and demographic changes are now converging to create an unprecedented burden on Canada's fragmented system of cardiovascular care.

How did we not see this coming? Canadians who have never before been "at risk" form whole new classes of heart patients in this country. Who are they? It's not who you think. With Canada's current patchwork quilt of prevention and treatment, no Canadian - young or old - will be left unaffected.
