MEDIA ADVISORY: Ombudsman to release report on inappropriate hospitalization of adults with developmental disabilities on Tuesday, November 25 Français
TORONTO, Nov. 17, 2025 /CNW/ - Ontario Ombudsman Paul Dubé will release his latest systemic investigation report on Tuesday, November 25 at 1:30 p.m. The report concerns the Ombudsman's examination of cases where adults with developmental disabilities were inappropriately housed in hospitals.
The Ombudsman's investigation looked into whether the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services and the Ministry of Health are taking adequate steps to ensure these individuals can connect to appropriate supports and living options.
Ombudsman Dubé will hold a press conference about the report at the Queen's Park Media Studio on November 25 from 1:30 to 2 p.m. The press conference will also be webcast live on the Ombudsman's website: www.ombudsman.on.ca.
The report, press release and related documents will be posted on the Ombudsman's website at 1:30 p.m. on November 25 and shared via social media.
