Media Advisory - Office of Auditor General of Ontario to Release Four Special Reports

TORONTO, May 5, 2026 /CNW/ - On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, the Auditor General of Ontario, Shelley Spence, will release the following four Special Reports:

• Family Responsibility Office
• Large Commercial Truck Driver Licensing
• Special Education Needs
• Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Ontario Government

An embargoed copy of the Special Reports will be available to accredited media by request. You will be asked to provide a signed embargo agreement. Please contact [email protected] and cc [email protected] before noon on Monday, May 11 to request an embargoed digital copy. For an embargoed hard copy of the report, please send your request with HARD COPY REQUEST in the subject line no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, May 8.

Digital copies will be distributed at 7:00 a.m. on May 12, and hard copies will be available at the Legislature outside the Media Studio at 8:30 a.m. for those who requested them.

The reports will be under embargo until May 12 at 11 a.m. ET.

The Auditor General will be available to the media at the Queen's Park Media Studio at 11 a.m. to deliver remarks and answer questions.

The Special Reports will be available at www.auditor.on.ca once tabled with the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly, expected at 11a.m.
