OTTAWA, ON, Oct. 10, 2025 /CNW/ - The Honourable Evan Solomon, Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, will be visiting the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on October 13 and 14 and Qatar on October 15 as part of Canada's outreach to the Gulf region in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies, while also building on meetings he had in Ottawa with the UAE delegation that visited in June 2025.
During his visit, Minister Solomon will meet counterparts in both countries to attract investment in Canada's AI ecosystem and promote the expertise of leading Canadian companies in the AI sector. Additionally, the Minister will be part of a prime-time panel at the GITEX Global technology exhibition in Dubai: The Intelligence Super-Cycle: How AI is Offsetting Global Economies. GITEX Global is the world's largest technology and AI event.
