Media Advisory - What is The State of Business Leadership in Canada, Today
... and Tomorrow?

TORONTO, Dec. 4 /CNW Telbec/ - That's one of the critical questions being asked and answered as private and public sector business leaders and experts come together to discuss leadership capacity in Canadian organizations at Leadership 2009: Developing Strategic Management Capacity, hosted by The Conference Board of Canada in partnership with Knightsbridge Human Capital Solutions.

"As Canada starts moving beyond the recession, now is the time to get leadership right," says Vince Molinaro, Managing Director of KnightsbridgeMICA. "To be successful, Canadian business must maintain their leadership capacity over the long-term and at all levels with the right leaders in place, with the right skills, experience and tools they need to get the job done," he continued.

"Many leadership positions in Canada are currently held by baby boomers, who will be retiring in the near future. Is the next generation ready and equipped to lead Canadian business into the future?" asks Liane Davey, Principal, KnightsbridgeMICA. "If the answer is no, then we need to discuss what we have to do to fix it. That's why Knightsbridge partnered with the Conference Board to explore the current state of business leadership in Canada."

All delegates and guest speakers are being asked to complete a survey prepared by Knightsbridge before they attend the conference to get their current views on the state of Canadian business leadership and what their organizations are, or should be, doing to respond. The answers will be presented and discussed during the two-day conference.
