TORONTO, May 15, 2017 /CNW/ - Representatives from Toronto Hydro, GFL Excavating and the Electrical Safety Authority will be at a condominium development site on Tuesday, May 16, to talk to dump truck drivers about the dangers of overhead powerlines.
Dump trucks are the number one cause of powerline contact in the construction industry and the biggest risk happens when unloading.
The drivers will receive a safety sticker that can be placed on their dashboard to remind them to operate their vehicle safely around powerlines.
