Media Advisory - Steelworkers and Goldcorp Reach Tentative Deal in Timmins

TIMMINS, ON, Oct. 22, 2014 /CNW/ - United Steelworkers (USW) Local 7580 has reached a tentative agreement with Goldcorp on a new three-year contract for 275 gold mine employees in Timmins.

WHEN:	Thursday, October 23, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
WHERE:	McIntyre Community Centre,85 McIntyre Rd., Timmins (Schumacher)

USW Local 7580 members will vote on the tentative agreement at ratification meetings to be held Thursday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the McIntyre Community Centre.

The tentative deal calls for a three-year collective agreement with numerous improvements in monetary items and contract language, said USW Staff Representative Marc Ayotte. Details will be released following Thursday's ratification vote, Ayotte said.
