MEDIA ADVISORY - USW Int'l President Brown to Address U.S.-Canada Trade Tensions, Call for Policies that Prioritize Workers
FrançaisMONTREAL, Sept. 11, 2026 /CNW/ -- The United Steelworkers (USW) will on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 12:30 p.m. hold a press conference in which USW International President Roxanne Brown will address the escalating trade tensions between the United States and Canada, urging trade representatives to return to the table and find a path forward that helps workers on both sides of the border.
The USW represents hundreds of thousands of workers in both Canada and the United States. Union leaders from both countries will attend the event, which will take place at the Sheraton Laval Hotel.
The union will also address how the breakdown in the two countries' historically strong economic partnership is hurting Canadian and U.S. workers.
