OTTAWA, Sept. 10, 2014 /CNW/ - Dr. Satyamoorthy Kabilan, Director, National Security and Strategic Foresight, The Conference Board of Canada, is available to comment on US President Obama's plan to combat ISIS at outlined in his address to the nation speech tonight at 9:00pm EST, the eve of the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy.

The Conference Board's 2012 report, Terrorism and Radicalization to Violence: Making Prevention Work, concludes that understanding violent extremism and the path individuals take to radicalize and commit violent acts is one key to countering terrorism.
