TORONTO, Nov. 9 /CNW/ - Striking mine workers plan a spirited, guerilla-style demonstration tomorrow to demand that federal Industry Minister Tony Clement defend Canadian communities under attack by foreign corporations.
United Steelworkers (USW) will converge on Clement's Parry Sound office, calling on the Minister to stop acting as "the Grim Reaper who presides over job-killing and gutting our communities." The USW represents 3,500 working families who have been on strike for four months against Vale Inco's attacks on their pensions, incomes and working conditions.
