OTTAWA, April 20, 2016 /CNW/ - With the Canadian government announcing today that it will introduce legislation to legalize the recreational use of marijuana, learn more about what happened in Colorado—one of the first states in the United States to have moved ahead with legalization.
In this live webinar, Sam Kamin of the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law will bring an evidence-based perspective on the birth of an industry in Colorado, and the prospects for new revenues, different approaches to regulation and the importance of good data on the path to legalization.

Who: Sam Kamin, Vicente Sederberg Professor of Marijuana Law and Policy at the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law.
Sam Kamin has emerged as one of America's expert voices on marijuana law reform in Colorado and throughout the country.
He sat on Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper's Amendment 64 Implementation Task Force and worked with the ACLU and California Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom on the Blue Ribbon Panel on Marijuana Reform to formulate a set of best practices for marijuana regulation in that state.
In the spring of 2015, Professor Kamin taught the nation's first law school course on representing marijuana clients and was named the Vicente Sederberg Professor of Marijuana Law and Policy.
