- Kia Canada August sales up 6.8 per cent versus 2015
- Award winning Sorento and Sportage achieved best August YTD sales in Kia Canada history
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Sept. 1, 2016 /CNW/ - Kia Canada Inc. reported 6,688 vehicles sold in the month of August, up 6.8 per cent compared to 2015. Calendar year-to-date sales are up 3.7 per cent versus the same period last year with 49,533 total sales reported.
The month of August marked Kia Canada's best year-to-date sales results for Sportage and Sorento carlines. Sorento has achieved 10,739 total sales year-to-date, up 8.9 per cent year over year. With an incredible 73.2 per cent increase over the same period last year, Sportage achieved 7,283 sales year-to-date. The Sportage also achieved the best August sales on record totaling 970 units sold, representing a 53 per cent increase versus 2015. The month of August also witnessed strong sales for the Soul carline, which includes the award winning Soul EV, with sales totaling 1,414 units, up 9 per cent year over year.
