IA Clarington introduces two new funds to provide investors with diversified growth and income opportunities

TORONTO, Dec. 29, 2014 /CNW/ - IA Clarington Investments Inc. today announced the launch of the IA Clarington Growth and Income Fund and the IA Clarington North American Opportunities Class (the "funds").

The funds are managed by Terry Thib, who has been investing in the often overlooked small and mid-cap space for over 10 years.  Terry was voted one of the Brendan Wood International TopGun Investment Minds in Canada in both 2012 and 2014.

The IA Clarington Growth and Income Fund will provide investors with an opportunity to achieve long-term capital appreciation and a stable income stream. Along with Terry's selection of North American dividend-paying equities, the Fund will offer further diversification and an element of protection against interest rate volatility through investments in senior loans.  The income portion of the Fund is managed by IA Clarington's Jeff Sujitno and will initially invest in the IA Clarington Floating Rate Income Fund.  Terry's view is that it is important that investors maintain a disciplined and conservative selection process in the small and mid-cap areas of the market. "I look for investment opportunities in less efficient areas of the market and follow a disciplined approach which seeks to generate superior risk-adjusted returns for investors."

The IA Clarington North American Opportunities Class will focus on small and mid-cap North American equities where there is a larger opportunity set of securities that can offer superior growth at better valuations. It is being offered as a class of IA Clarington's corporate class structure.
