HUB INTERNATIONAL NAMES SARAH THOMPSON NATIONAL REAL ESTATE PRACTICE LEADER FOR CANADA

Seasoned insurance executive and HUB veteran to lead national real estate strategy, strengthening cross-border capabilities and delivering specialized solutions to clients across Canada

• Thompson brings more than 14 years of HUB experience, including leadership roles across underwriting, strata, marketing and most recently as Chief Marketing Officer of HUB Coastal.
• In her new role, Thompson will drive proprietary product development and partner with leadership to deliver an integrated cross-border strategy for real estate clients.

CHICAGO, Sept. 1, 2026 /CNW/ -- Hub International Holdings, Inc. (HUB), a leading global insurance brokerage and financial services firm, announced today the appointment of Sarah Thompson as National Real Estate Practice Leader for Canada, effective September 1, 2026. With deep institutional knowledge of HUB's Canadian real estate practice, Thompson will lead HUB's real estate strategy and practice development across Canada.

In this role, Thompson will oversee the real estate practice's strategic initiatives, focused on delivering best-in-class solutions and services to HUB's real estate clients in Canada. She will also lead the development of proprietary risk and insurance products tailored to real estate owners, developers, and operators across the sector. Thompson will partner closely with Chip Stuart, North America Real Estate Practice Leader, to develop an integrated North American real estate strategy, ensuring clients across the U.S. and Canada benefit from a unified, cross-border approach.

Thompson joined HUB Coastal in April 2012 as Underwriting Manager, overseeing underwriting for the strata insurance program. She went on to lead the Strata Division as Manager from 2013 to 2017 and as Associate Vice President from 2017 to 2019. In June 2019, she was named Vice President, Marketing and Real Estate, and in November 2019 became Chief Marketing Officer, a role she has held since.

Thompson holds the Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada and the Canadian Risk Manager (CRM) designation from the Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS). She is based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
