MONTRÉAL, April 17, 2025 /CNW/ - Canadiens fans were not the only ones celebrating last night. The players at the Casino du Lac-Leamy Poker room also did, as they split the largest bad beat jackpot ever awarded at Loto-Québec casinos: $2,513,553.
To win the bad beat jackpot at poker, a player must lose the game with four tens or a higher hand. That's precisely what happened on April 16 at the Casino du Lac-Leamy. This progressive jackpot is awarded to the player with the second-highest ranking hand, as well as to the players at their table and all other players in the Poker room.
The holder of the bad beat hand, who had four tens, won $1,005,421, while the winner, who had a straight flush, received $502,711. The other six players at their table won nearly $84,000, and the other 38 players in the lounge each won just over $13,000. The atmosphere in the Poker room was electric with the hockey game playing on the screens, and the players will remember this evening for a long time!
