OAKVILLE, ON, Oct. 26, 2026 /CNW/ -- Guac Mexi Grill, a Canadian fast-casual Tex-Mex restaurant franchise, has announced a 95-unit U.S. development agreement, marking the brand's planned entry into the American restaurant market. The 10-year expansion strategy will focus on Georgia, South Carolina and Florida, with the first locations expected to open in 2027.

The announcement coincides with Guac Mexi Grill's 10th anniversary and represents a major milestone in its North American franchise growth strategy. Founded in Ontario in 2016, the brand has expanded to more than 55 restaurants across Canada, establishing a multi-unit franchise model supported by standardized operations, comprehensive franchisee training and ongoing corporate support.

The agreement establishes a phased development plan across three southeastern U.S. states over the next decade. Initial restaurant openings are targeted for 2027, followed by further market development as the brand establishes its American presence.

Guac Mexi Grill's restaurant format is designed for traditional retail plazas, shopping centres, street-front locations and select non-traditional venues. Its compact footprint, customizable menu and established franchise support infrastructure provide flexibility for multi-unit restaurant development and commercial real estate partnerships.

The U.S. rollout will prioritize site selection, operational readiness and consistent execution as the company builds its regional restaurant network.
