Groupe Média TFO creates a new experience on Google Assistant for families in French Canada Français

TORONTO, Nov. 30, 2018 /CNW/ - With its new app Boukili Audio, Groupe Média TFO, the Canadian expert in French language digital learning, has created a new Google Assistant experience for Canadian families. Available today, Boukili Audio offers a collection of more than 120 audio books, including more than 70 audio books exclusive to Google Assistant, to enable French language learning for children between the ages of 4 and 8.
"We are thrilled to be the first French-language educational media enterprise to work with Google on a Google Assistant experience for French-speaking families in Canada. This experience allows us to deliver our award-winning learning content in French through a fantastic new audio distribution platform that is attracting growing audiences, said Glenn O`Farrell, President and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Média TFO. While 8% of Canadians already own a smartspeaker, Google with its Google Home represents 55% of smartspeaker owners as of Q1 2018, according to a Media Technology Monitor survey1. Canadian families with a Google Home or the Google Assistant installed on their smartphone or tablet - set to the French-Canadian language - will now be able to discover Boukili Audio`s educational experience with the invocation phrases "OK Google, parler avec Boukili Audio".
Boukili Audio is an interactive game that helps children put their memory and comprehension skills to the test with a dynamic educational experience. This new experience is an addition to TFO`s extensive selection of educational content in French, renowned for its quality and relevance, and is a product extension of the Boukili app. Created and developed to help kids learn to read autonomously while having fun, the tablet Boukili experience has already accumulated over 1 million book readings.
