The Government of Canada supports winter festivities in northern New Brunswick
CAMPBELLTON, NB, Feb. 13, 2026 /CNW/ - Across the country, local festivals are economic drivers in Canada's regions. They strengthen a feeling of belonging in their communities while giving the young and young-at-heart a chance to make the most of winter.
Today, Guillaume Deschênes-Thériault, Member of Parliament (Madawaska–Restigouche), is happy to announce $30,300 in funding for Campbellton Sno-Fest, on behalf of the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages.
This financial support, through the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program, will help Sno-Fest flourish. This can't-miss cultural gathering brings the local community together for dynamic winter celebrations, which are part of Restigouche's identity. This investment will help Sno-Fest continue to grow and bring people together, while offering accessible, inclusive activities.

Quick Facts
Campbellton, New Brunswick has celebrated Sno-Fest for 27 years. In 2026, the festival takes place February 12 to 16.
Sno-Fest offers entertainment for the whole family, including shows and concerts by local artists, a snow sculpture exhibition, special activities held at various organizations in the city, sleigh rides, tubing, skating and games. It concludes with activities celebrating Family Day.
The Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program supports community activities that promote local arts, culture and heritage, while encouraging citizen participation and a sense of belonging in communities across the country.
