BLAINVILLE, QC, March 8, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - On International Women's Day, Duchesnay Inc., a Canadian pharmaceutical company dedicated to the health and quality of life of the pregnant woman and her unborn child, proudly announces the launch of two new products in the American market, prenatal vitamins Mteryti® and Mteryti® Folic 5, sold by prescription in Canada under the brand name Pregvit® and Pregvit® Folic 5.
With plans to expand beyond Canadian borders, particularly in the U.S., Duchesnay has distinguished itself by responding to a growing global demand for high-quality products for pregnant women and women who are breastfeeding. Like Pregvit® and Pregvit® Folic 5, Mteryti® and Mteryti® Folic 5 prenatal multivitamins are developed and manufactured in Canada. They will be marketed by Duchesnay USA based in Philadelphia.

About Pregvit® and Pregvit® Folic 5
The prenatal multivitamins Pregvit® and Pregvit® Folic 5 offer a uniqueformulation and two-part dosage (a pink pill in the morning and a blue pill at night) meant to optimize the absorption of key nutrients during preconception, pregnancy and breastfeeding. The formulation reduces side effects such as gastrointestinal problems, nausea and constipation. Plus the formulation does not contain lactose, gluten or tartrazine. The product is also certified kosher/Passover and halal by recognized agencies.
Pregvit® Folic 5 was designed for women who have had a pregnancy with a neural tube anomaly, who have a family history of neural tube anomalies, who suffer from diabetes or malabsorption issues (e.g., inflammatory bowel disease), who take folic acid antagonists (e.g., methotrexate) or anticonvulsants (e.g., valproic acid, carbamazepine) or who need a high dose of folic acid according to the advice of their health care professional.
Pregvit® and Pregvit® Folic 5 are available by prescription only in Canada. Women who are planning to get pregnant should talk to their health care provider to determine which product best meets their health needs.
